The former shoe factory had previously been converted into a multi‑unit business and personal service complex. We received this project from Geoff Hodgins as part of a handover, with the client requiring upgrades to the building’s fire exits to meet current fire safety standards.

The work included infilling existing openings to improve fire separation and replacing doors and hardware to ensure compliant egress routes throughout the building. These targeted interventions strengthened life‑safety performance while respecting the building’s established layout and ongoing commercial use.
