Brain Front Porch

The clients wanted to replace their existing porch with a new timber frame structure that would create a stronger architectural presence at the front of their home. The project began with a new deck designed with wrap‑around stairs, forming a generous platform that can be approached from multiple sides and used as an outdoor seating area.

Above this deck, a second set of stairs leads to the main entry, establishing a clear, stepped progression from the yard to the front door. A simple, well‑proportioned timber frame supports the gabled roof over the entry, giving the house a warm, welcoming focal point. The structure ties cleanly into the existing home, creating a cohesive upgrade.
