The clients wanted to rebuild the front porch that had long been removed due to rot, restoring a functional and welcoming entry to their home. The new porch was designed to suit the proportions and character of the existing house, using durable materials and straightforward detailing for long‑term performance.

Half of the porch is fully screened in, creating a protected outdoor space that can be comfortably used through the warmer months without insects or weather limiting its function. The open portion maintains a traditional front‑porch feel, while the screened area adds practical everyday usability. Together, they form a clean, well‑scaled replacement that fits naturally with the home’s rural setting and re‑establishes a comfortable, versatile entry.
